Slow Fashion Award 12

The Slow Fashion Award 12 broaches the issue of the latest and sustainable textile developments and brings this year “Nighties & Linen”, -sustainable bedclothes and sleepwear, into public spotlight.

Vienna – 16/12/2011. The high standard of the submissions was a real challenge for the expert jury consisting of Katharina Remenyi (Magazine DIVA, Wienerin), Anita Steinwidder (designer & shop owner), Gexi Tostmann (entrepreneur and folklorist), Marianna Zahel (academy of visual arts ‘fashions and styles’), Christina Kreuzwieser (Lenzing Textile), Astrid Wöhrl (Bio-Hotels), Claudia Rosa Lukas (designer, austrianfashion.net) and Stephan Hilpold (Der Standard/Vienna, Fashion editorial). After extensive discussions, they unanimously elected the winners with the “winning designs”.

The creative quality, the innovative character, the emotional content of the designs, the functionality, economical, sustainable and social aspects and the manufacturing process with sustainable preservation of resources were crucial for the decision of the expert jury.
