Slow Fashion Award 12
Nighties & Linen – the winners

The high standard of the submissions was a real challenge for the expert jury consisting of
Katharina Remenyi (Magazine DIVA, Wienerin), Anita Steinwidder (designer & shop owner),
Gexi Tostmann (entrepreneur and folklorist), Marianna Zahel (academy of visual arts ‘fashions
and styles’), Christina Kreuzwieser (Lenzing Textile), Astrid Wöhrl (Bio-Hotels), Claudia Rosa
Lukas (designer, austrianfashion.net) and Stephan Hilpold (Der Standard).
After extensive discussions, they unanimously elected the winners with the “winning
designs”.

The Slow Fashion Award 2010 broaches the issue of the latest and sustainable textile design and development. This year the award focuses on making RECYCLING FASHION socially acceptable. Including the background of their usage African textiles turn into new products: ACCESSORIES.The winner’s designs, chosen by a prominent jury, get awarded on 23 April 2010. Muu*-design and Slow Fashion, agency for sustainable design present the third award for more sustainability in the fashion industry – this year for the first time in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
